Hiver HQ sells itself as a email management software for teams, as well as a email helpdesk solution, and they truly deliver that.
However, we believe there are many gaps for improvements left, so that’s why our software gets in and solves these issues.
Here are some aspects that make Drag stand out:
Drag offers better visualization
One thing Drag surpasses Hiver easily is visualization. With the Kanban view, everything simply becomes simple and intuitive, all you have to do is drag and drop.
Emails came to the internet as an online version of mailboxes. They became very popular from the beginning of it as a rich form of interaction – in that time, when no other possible rich interaction existed.
Both emails and tasks become cards, so you’re in just one place, able to do a lot more to manage emails, manage tasks, manage projects, CRM, Help Desk or whatever you want, really.
By centralizing and visualizing everything, Drag reduces the amount of time you spend on managing your emails and on transitioning among different tools.
Here are some other features you can add to your cards:
- Delegation of emails/ tasks;
- Due dates and integration with Google Calendar;
- Add checklists to email/ tasks
- Shared Internal notes;
- Reply on behalf of team mates;
All of it. Right into your Gmail team inbox.
Hiver HQ has a bad support
Nothing is as bad that it can’t get worse. Software issues allied to bad support just makes us lose our minds. Hiver clients have had many kinds of issues, such as no refunds and no answers at all.
We’ve seen clients even say “support was non-existent” when talking about issues they had with Hiver.
At Drag, we take our customers very seriously, so we listen to every complain and suggestion, and then we grow from that. We believe that only by achieving a true collaborative feedback system we can develop ourselves as a company and also our software.
Drag has a 5-star Customer Service according to our reviews on Capterra.
Helpdesk boards and tickets
When thinking about helpdesk, many people see email as an antiquate tool, that doesn’t provide collaboration well enough and makes work take longer — which is why they go to dedicated helpdesk softwares. But both Drag and HiverHQ are proof that this mixture works positively for team productivity and communication management.
The thing is helpdesk as it works in Hiver doesn’t help so much. Basically you can’t really decide how you want it to work for you. Sometimes you will need it mixed with your regular inbox, sometimes not. And there’s another point Drag stands out.
With emails as cards, you can transform each card individually, therefore you can have helpdesk boards, as well as other emails with helpdesk — if you need to.
Although Hiver has a very good service, there’s much room for improvements, specially in what concerns team work and helpdesk. And alternatives are many in the market, so you should stop and think about what you and your company really need.
Our suggestion for before you jump into this tool, is to make a good research and look for other small and innovative softwares, because they can solve what you need for less money — and less other issues as well.
